At the base of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock a group of black-clad protestors start to gather for today’s march to PolyU. Will it be peaceful today?
Found a Five Guys on our side of Victoria Harbour! Instead of the usual five people behind the counter they had fifteen, in typical Chinese fashion. #fiveguys #nomnom #nounemployment #shakes! #tst
Along the Ma On Shan Lennon Wall, Bohden checks out some young boys lighting tea candles in memory of those lost in the protests. Peace has reigned in HK for over a week now. Will it last? #hkprotests #lennonwall #bdoesg1
District Council elections begin this morning in HK (every 4 years), the first since protests and first where all 452 seats are open. Legislative Council (LegCo) half elections next Fall (every 4 years) and Chief Executive indirect election in 2022 (every 5 years). Peaceful leading up to this. What will happen tomorrow though? #suffrage #prayforhk
Our Lego Loot from Sham Shui Po gotten as we and other Hong Kongers come out like prairie dogs in the “uneasy peace” of the day. Hope it continues tomorrow! #shamshuipo #legonotlego #hkprotestsnotprotests
Harvesting basil from our urban garden on this 3rd day of cancelled school. Almost seems HK is at peace - God’s nature continues to show humans His invisible attributes! #prayforhk #urbangardening
Those lights on the left are where Chinese University lies. A hot spot last night, maybe again tonight, and all the chaos has led to no more school this week. Some unis have cancelled for the semester. #hkprotest #prayforhk
No school tomorrow: has happened for snow, fog, even typhoons for me, but never for social unrest. I would work 100 days if it could bring peace to this city. My heart breaks for 香港人. #schoolcancelled #hkprotest #prayforhk
This is my usual entry to the train system, which was closed yesterday. I could walk around to the back side (you can see it is open on the other side). Probably they are being ready to close up in a moment’s notice in case of protestors showing up. It causes inconvenience, but what is really important here? Many ask which side is correct: protestors or government/police? I think about how Jesus had an anarchist and a tax collector as part of his 12 disciples. Christ calls us to be salt and light in the midst of all political sides. #prayforhongkong #hkprotest #mtrdisruptions
This outside my bus window on way to work. Protestors are blocking our part of HK this morning as part of a transportation strike. #thisishongkong #hkprotest
The Star Ferry in this pic is the Meridian Star, the last public star ferry we have not been on. This pic was take on the Northern Star, our first trip on its planks. #starferry #victoriaharbour #ifc #thisishongkong
We have experienced all public star ferries (Tinkling, Silver, Night, Solar, Day, and now Northern) except for the Meridian Star. #starferry #northernstarisyourguide #thisishongkong
