It took 5 buses to get from our corner of Hong Kong to our locale of Macau. Lovely that the boys did great, even with a late lunch. #macau2020 #bdoesg1

The boys have been wanting to ride “two wheelers” again, so we tried out some rental bikes up along Tai Po Waterfront Park. They were a little wobbly 😬 but we all survived unscathed. #hdoesg2 #bdoesg1 #goodluckbikeshop #taipowaterfrontpark #twowheelers

There are seven Star Ferries that connect Tsim Sha Tsui to Central (and 1 that does tours). We ride them a lot, but have never caught this elusive Meridian Star ferry! It has teased us recently as it always seems to cross the opposite direction of us. #elusiveship #meridianstar #starferry #victoriaharbour #ifcbuilding

A beautiful “winter” day out on Victoria Harbour! We rode the Observation Wheel for free (100 year anniversary), got Pret and shakes and enjoyed a Finnish market.

The boys (upper left) did a fine job singing in our church’s kid’s Christmas program. And, batman was even there!

Hills wrapped in gray, standing along the west; Clouds, dimly lighted, gathering slowly; The star of peace at watch above the crest— Oh, holy, holy, holy! We know, O Lord, so little what is best; Wingless, we move so lowly; But in thy calm all-knowledge let us rest— Oh, holy, holy, holy! ~ John Charles McNeill

Legislative Council (LegCo) half elections next Fall (every 4 years) and Chief Executive indirect election in 2022 (every 5 years). Peaceful leading up to this. This is my usual entry to the train system, which was closed yesterday. I could walk around to the back side (you can see it is open on the other side). Probably they are being ready to close up in a moment’s notice in case of protestors showing up. It causes inconvenience, but what is really important here? Many ask which side is correct: protestors or government/police? I think about how Jesus had an anarchist and a tax collector as part of his 12 disciples. Christ calls us to be salt and light in the midst of all political sides. #prayforhongkong #hkprotest #mtrdisruptions
